A Message From Our Founders

U.H.A. Founders - Rick and Annette Haupt
It was August 2006 when we met Barbara Kayaga. Barbara along with three little girls, all from Uganda, stayed with our family for a couple of days while on tour in the United States. Barbara is 23 years old. She and her four siblings grew up as orphans in Uganda. Her father died before she was born and her mother shortly after. Life was not easy for Barbara; she spent many days not knowing when her next meal would come or where she would sleep.
James 1:27

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

U.H.A.'s Mission

We intend, with God's help, to take the living Word of God and put it into effect through the building of children's homes and the provision of means to assist a community of people, in Uganda, with educating themselves toward physical, social, spiritual, and economic development.

Suubi Africa

In Uganda, they call the orphanage Suubi Africa. Suubi means hope. The orphanage will soon be home to15 children. They will be provided with food, shelter, clean water and clothing. They will also receive an education geared toward academic, physical and spiritual growth. As funding permits we will train the children in agricultural skills and they will learn to raise some of their own food. It is our goal to assist them in becoming productive adults in their community.
Hope for a better tomorrow...
