Hope for a better tomorrow...:
The slide show (above) contains actual photos taken of children in Uganda and the conditions they live in, the brick home that is being built through your donations to U.H.A., our staff in Uganda, and board members who have traveled to Uganda.
Well the house is completed and children reside inside along with Barbara as caretaker. On any given day there can be as many as 14 kids and young adults there. Since the children there range in age from 2-19 we have them coming and going. Some go to boarding school during the week and come home on weekends or holidays. The younger ones are there all the time.
Now that the house is done we have started to redirect some of our efforts into a village and are sending some children to local schools by helping their families to provide for their educational fees. $60.00 U.S. will provide a terms fees which includes: School, books, uniform, meal at school all for 3 months. Right now we have14 kids and would like to grow it to 50 kids. We also would like to provide fresh water wells in the same village (called Lungunja) along with providing a base of food supplies once a month. Basics like beans, maze, flour and rice. These families are assisted by our project managers who take the food to their hut and also pay all fees in person to the schools. We recently sent 7 boxes with basic medical supplies and hygene items which were recently recieved.
Our wish list includes the building of a successful fish farm. so we have plans. We will be trusting God to help make it happen. To God be the glory.
